I swear I learned about Cuneiform at a really young age, and as I learned to write, I always thought about the impact of pressing stick to clay. Letters are a work of art. While teaching, most of my notes included drawings, I once created a district wide professional development called “the art of doodling” because it hits so many learning parts of the brain. After school I’d go to yoga and draw in the room while listening to an audio book waiting for class to start, or meet my ladies at the bar for trivia night and I always brought my sketchbook. When I got yoga certified, it made more sense for me to draw the flows than to write them.
Here’s a sampling of some of my favorite sketchbook pages!
