48’ Square. This piece was the end of a heart break. Inspired by Persephone’s journey to the Underworld and the Japanese use of gold in their wabi-sabi techniques, I used gold to repair the cracks of my heart as the seeds spill out. Originally created to live above my fireplace with a glow that illuminates from below. This is a piece that looks anywhere from muted to psychedelic when seen in different light.
